Y Peeler Dalstrong ©

At Dalstrong we don’t stop at high-performing knives — we want to upgrade every accessory in your kitchen. Not just for peeling vegetables, the Dalstrong Y Peeler is an indispensable tool for every chef — from professional sous chefs to beginners at home. Make vegetable ribbons for salads and sandwiches, shave cheese slices, zest citrus, carve chocolate curls, grate frozen butter, strip stringy fibers from celery, and so much more. The suspended, swivel-peeler blade self-adjusts to the surface of the food you are peeling, allowing you to maneuver around tight spaces, protrusions, and corners effortlessly.
Ample space between the blade and bridge ensures that food won’t get stuck inside the peeler while working. For added precision, the second blade works to guide the primary blade for thin, sharp slices that minimize waste. With our ultra-durable G10 Garolite handle, textured for a better grip in wet environments, you’ll be able to take on your kitchen prep with confidence. The wider handle further enhances comfort by allowing a more relaxed grip while working.
- 3 Blades For Versatility: The peeler comes with three Japanese stainless steel blades for every task: fine, serrated, and julienne. Create precise veggie strips with ease, gently cut into the skin of softer vegetables and fruits, or carry out traditional peeler tasks with added precision, such as peeling hard fruits and vegetables, crafting beautiful garnishes, and more.
- Swivel-Peeler Design: Maneuver around corners, tight spaces, and protrusions with ease — the suspended blade self-adjusts to the food’s surface as you peel for better agility. The Y-design makes this peeler perfect for both left and right-handed cooks.
- Simple Locking System: Easily change blades or remove them for cleaning with the simple locking system. The stain-resistant design ensures that cleaning is a snap, while the black blade guard keeps both your blade and your hands protected.
- Ultra-Durable G10 Handle: Our military-grade Garolite handle is textured for a better grip in wet environments, so you can handle any kind of kitchen prep, even in messy conditions. Enjoy enhanced comfort with the wide handle, designed for a pain-free, relaxed grip.
CARE AND USE
Using Your Peeler:
- Hold the ingredient to be peeled securely in one hand. With the other, hold the peeler handle firmly, gripping slightly towards the "Y" for more control if needed.
- Use an "anchor" to reorient your food while peeling. Your anchor might differ based on food peeled. For example, you might anchor a carrot on the cutting board while peeling, or an apple on your thumb.
- Use a quick, swift pull down the length of the food along the surface that you are peeling. Turn the food as you peel for efficiency.
- Try "palming" the peeler, freeing up the thumb of your peeling hand to act as the anchor for more precision peeling, such as taking off an apple peel in one continuous strip. Freeing the thumb allows you to brace against the food you are peeling for more control.
- Try pulling towards you.
Changing The Blades:
- The blade lock is located on the arm opposite the eye scoop. Carefully rotate the blade lock in a clockwise direction.
- Carefully lift the blade out of the holder, keeping the blade guard on if possible
- After inserting a new blade, rotate the blade lock back down into position to secure the blade in place
Cleaning & Care:
Although built to last with the G10 Garolite handle and high-carbon steel, to get the most out of your peeler, we advise treating it with respect and care. In return, you will have a kitchen ally you can rely on time and time again.
As such, we recommend washing by hand with a small amount of detergent and a coarse bristle brush, followed by wiping it clean and letting it air dry. Don’t use soaps with citrus extracts or bleach since they can promote corrosion. Never leave your peeler sitting in a sink full of soapy water, as water corrosion can eventually occur in minute levels. Moisture weakens the stainless steel and promotes micro-corrosion. For added care, lightly brush the blade with vegetable oil to enhance performance and extend its life span.
